Community Service

 

Our Community Service will be donating to The C.A.L.L. of Pulaski County this year.

The CALL works with foster and adoptive families in conjunction with the Arkansas Department of Children & Family Services to train families in the process of opening their home to foster or adopt. They provide counseling, clothing closets, meals and more for families. For more information, their website is www.thecallinarkansas.org.

This summer we delivered 56 quilts and 105 pillowcases. We will make a final delivery in November. The C.A.L.L. requests quilts of any size up to and including twin.

We will continue to bring Fat Quarters to sell as a fund raiser for Community Service expenses.

Thank you for participating in our community service project. It is only through the generosity of the members of the guild that we can make our community service projects possible. A few gentle reminders:

  • All quilts should be checked for loose threads and pins before donation.

  • Quilts should be free of pet hair and smells of must or smoke.

  • Labels are available from community service, and should be affixed to the back of the quilt.

  • Remember, these quilts are a special gift from the guild to these individuals. Take pride in your work and give something that you would like to receive.
